Is Fantasma a theme or a hosted service?

Fantasma is a visual builder that generates a standard Ghost theme (a ZIP you upload to your own Ghost site).

You design in the browser, export when you’re ready, and your site runs the exported theme — Fantasma doesn’t need to be installed on your Ghost server.

Do I need to write any code?

No — most users never touch Handlebars or CSS.

If you do want to go further, the export is standard Ghost theme code, so you can customize it like any other theme in any editor.

What’s included in the free plan vs Pro?

Fantasma is currently free to use — you can build a production-ready Source-style Ghost theme with the visual builder and export a ZIP.

A Pro plan is on the roadmap, but it’s not available yet. When it launches, it’s expected to unlock things like premium sections and advanced features.

Can I use Fantasma themes for client projects?

Yes — you can use exported themes for your own sites and for client work.

However, you can’t resell or redistribute the exported themes themselves as standalone products on marketplaces (e.g. ThemeForest or the Ghost Marketplace).

How many Ghost sites can I use a theme on?

You can deploy your exported theme on as many Ghost sites as you need for your own use or client work.

Think of Fantasma as a theme generator — once you have the ZIP, it’s yours to install wherever you’re allowed to use it.

Does it work with Ghost(Pro) and self-hosted Ghost?

Yes. Fantasma exports a standard Ghost theme ZIP, so it’s compatible with Ghost(Pro) and self-hosted Ghost.

If Ghost accepts the ZIP as a valid theme upload, you’re good to go.

Can I edit the exported theme code?

Absolutely. The exported theme is standard Ghost/Handlebars code.

You can customize templates, styles, and partials just like any other Ghost theme — nothing is locked.

Do I own the exported themes?

You own what you export.

The license is intended to allow unlimited use for personal and client projects, while restricting resale / redistribution of themes as standalone products.

Where is my work saved?

If you’re not signed in, Fantasma saves your work locally in your browser (localStorage).

If you sign in, projects can sync to the cloud so you can pick up on another device and keep version history.

What happens if Fantasma goes away?

You keep every theme you export.

Because exports are standard Ghost themes (using Ghost’s normal helpers/structures), your site continues to run even if you never open the builder again.
